Set back from the main road just 2kms from Funchal centre the Cliff Bay hotel has been cleverly designed on two main levels with lawned gardens on the upper, and a spectacular sea level swimming pool and sun deck, (accessed by a lift) on the lower level. There are 3 restaurants, an Italian “a la carte” menu is served in the Il Garro D’oro, traditional and theme dinners in The Rose Garden and the Cliff Bar & Bistro provide live music and entertainment.
The Health Club has a heated indoor pool with outdoor section along with a wide range of facilities and treatments. There is a private jetty beside the lower pool for watersports and a seasonal children’s entertainment programme and a well equipped playroom. Other organised activities include tennis, horseriding, jeep safaris and canoeing.
