Porto: Casting off 2:30 p.m.
Guided city tour through port wine’s namesake Porto: Fishermen, seafarers, traders and ship builders from Porto were all part of the Portuguese explorers. In the 19th century, Porto gave its name to one of the finest wines in the world: the port wine that must be tried when visiting a typical port wine cellar. Discover the narrow streets and centuries-old buildings as well as the city's trademark, the iron bridge, built under the direction of Gustav Eiffel. From the cathedral on Penaventosa Hill is a breath taking view over the river. The view from the Pilar Monastery, which is located on a hill above the town of Vila Nova de Gaia, is just as unique.
