Cologne - Cochem - Strasbourg - Cologne (8 days)

Day 1 – Arrive Cologne

Fly or rail from London to Cologne and transfer to vessel. Embarkation from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.

Day 2 – Cochem

Arrive 8:00am - Depart 2:00pm

Today's guided excursion takes you to the Eltz Castle, which survived all wars in the 17th and 18th centuries unscathed and was never destroyed. On the tour of Eltz Castle, you will experience a journey back in time through eight centuries of cultural history, which is also impressively reflected in the construction and design of the rooms. The houses treasure over 500 exhibits from the 12th to 19th centuries. Afternoon cruising along the Moselle.

Day 3 – Traben-Trarbach

Arrive 9:15pm (day before) - Depart 5:00pm

Guided tour through the picturesque wine town of Traben-Trarbach. Shore leave for your personal visit.

Day 4 – Mainz

Arrive 2:30pm - Depart 12:00am

Early morning passage of the famous Loreley.

Mainz city tour with the magnificent St.Augustine's Church and visit to the Grand Mainz Saint Martin Cathedral.

Day 5 – Mannheim

Arrive 6:30am - Depart 3:00pm

On this guided tour you will learn exciting background about the Benz couple, who lived in Mannheim for many years and thus helped the city on the Rhine rise to historical fame. When Bertha Benz set out from Mannheim to Pforzheim with the Benz Patent Motorwagen in 1888, she made automotive history. This first successful overland trip with an automobile laid the foundation for future-oriented transportation and set the course for the company's economic success. Mannheim is often referred to today as the birthplace of the automobile.

Day 6 - Strasbourg/Kehl

Arrive 4:00am - Depart 7:00pm

Guided city tour through Strasbourg with a visit to the Cathedral of Notre-Dame: Idyllic half timbered alleys, cozy wine taverns and of course the impressive cathedral make a visit to this historic city one of a kind experience. The entire city center of Strasbourg was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988 due to its diverse architecture. At the the Republic Square you can admire the Rhine Palace, the National Library and the Opera. Once you arrive at the Notre-Dame cathedral, your guide will explain in detail the special features and numerous interesting stories about construction and architecture. You will experience first hand when the astronomical clock strikes the "full" hour and different figures of the clock breathe life. After visiting the cathedral enjoy a bit of free time in this beautiful city.

Picture perfect idyll on the excursion to the peaceful region of Alsace with its half-timbered houses, wine taverns and quaint atmosphere.

Day 7 – Koblenz

Arrive 1:30pm - Depart 8:00pm

Passage of the famous Loreley. Guided tour through Koblenz. With more than 2,000 years of history, Koblenz is one of the oldest cities in Germany. Koblenz is located at the mouth of the Moselle and Rhine, the so-called "German Corner".The idyllic alleys between the St. Kastor basilica, the oldest church building in Koblenz, and the Liebfrauenkirche give Koblenz a special charm. After seeing the Schängelbrunnen at the town hall, you will take a cable car ride over the Rhine to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. Experience Koblenz from a bird's eye view and then take a leisurely stroll through the fortress park.

Day 8 – Cologne

Disembarkation until 9:00am. Transfer to Cologne Airport/Station or add a city stay (prices on request).
