Enjoy special onboard entertainment and focused lectures highlighting the music of the regions through which you are travelling. Whether it's the sounds of New Orleans Jazz, the strains of the uniquely American musical art form the Delta Blues, the Rock and Soul of Memphis, or the homegrown Country Music melodies from Nashville, it all harmonizes with the rhythms of the river.

Starting in the heart of Nashville and steamboating the Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers, the American Duchess will take you to many of Tenessee's favourites including Clarksville, Dover, Paducah before joining the Mississippi at Cape Girardeau. Immerse yourself in the literature, music and culture of the area as well as its traditions, history and cooking. Each of the cruises has a general theme (as stated above) and the on board Riverlorian and guest speakers will give daily lectures around the history and culture surrounding the theme and the entertainment will also follow along the same lines.
