Day 1 – Arrive Cologne

Cologne: Casting off 4:00 p.m.
Fly from London to Cologne and transfer to vessel. Embarkation from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Day 2 – Amsterdam

Amsterdam: Mooring 08:00 a.m. - Casting off 11:30 p.m.

Take a highlights of Amsterdam tour with canal cruise past the typical merchant houses and stroll through the city. Walk through Vondelpark, the largest municipal park in Amsterdam with an open-air theatre. Visit the Van Gogh Museum and savour his masterpieces with 200 paintings, 599 drawings and 750 written documents to view. The Rijksmuseum presents art pieces that date from the Middle Ages to the present, giving insight into the history of the Netherlands and features famous Dutch works such as Night Watch by Rembrandt van Rijn.

Our Northern Holland excursion explores an outdoor museum and cheese dairy. Walk thought the history of The Netherlands and view objects from the people’s past. Find out how cheese was first made and watch a demonstration of how it is produced today at the cheese dairy. Taste Dutch cheese and learn interesting facts during your visit.

* Included in the 19 April 2021 sailing is a visit to the famous Keukenhof Gardens to view the world-renowned Tulip display. Keukenhof Castle was built in 1641 and the estate reached over 200 hectares. Father and son Jan David Zocher and Louis Paul Zocher redesigned the castle garden in 1857 to become the basis of he gardens today. It became a park in 1950 and has since had 72 years of visitors.

Day 3 – Lelystad, Almere

Lelystad, Almere: Mooring 03:00 a.m. - Casting off 09:00 p.m.

A Day pass to the international Horticultural Exhibition Floriade is included in your cruise. This magnificent display is spread over 148 acres and has over 40 countries presenting their cultures, plants and innovations. Features include an 850-metre cable car connecting the north to the south of the park providing an amazing birds-eye view, as well as an Arboretum, where guests can walk through a greenhouse featuring an encyclopaedia range of plants and trees. This exhibition is themed around Growing Green Cities and showcases new technologies to aid in sustainability and energy generation.

Day 4 – Nijmegen

Nijmegen: Mooring 8:30 a.m. - Casting off 2:30 p.m.

Take a guided walk through the friendly Hanseatic city Nijmegen and discover a wealth of archaeological finds dating back to the Romans. Nijmegen is the oldest city in the Netherlands at over 2,000 years old and home to the Museum De Bastei, a centre for the natural and cultural history of the Netherlands. Discover one of four castles and stately homes in the area including Wijchen Castle. Bought and renovated by Emilia of Nassau in 1609 and now a museum castle since 1996, the castle has a turbulent history of struggle, love in exile and royal life. A real treasure trove for history lovers and not to be missed.

Day 5 – Cologne

Cologne: Mooring 8:00 a.m. – Disembarkation until 9:00 a.m.

 Transfer to Cologne Airport or add a city stay (prices on request).
