Azores Hotels
The nine emerald green Azores islands set in the mid Atlantic were first discovered by the Portuguese and are now a nature explorers paradise and holiday haven.

From the Pousada there are magnificent views to the famous sailing harbour and its yachts and across to the magnificent Pico island. It was captured by the English fleet under Sir Walter Raleigh in 1597, has now been stylishly and comfortably refurbished and is classified as its national monument. The restaurant offers international cuisine and a variety of local and regional specialities.
Popular with guests are boat trips to watch dolphins and whales and also a visit to the "lunar" landscape of the Capelinhos Island which emerged from the Atlantic in 1957.
