Guests receive special discounts on the 3 courses at Penina along with San Lorenzo at Quinta do Lago. There is a regular bus shuttle service to San Lorenzo.
The prominent building is a blend of Portuguese and English architecture. The reception areas comprise spacious lounges, a selection of shops, a health centre and an activity booking office.
There is a good choice of eating places including the Brasserie, the Sagres restaurant and a more formal Grill Room. During the summer months the poolside restaurant, L’Arlecchino Mediterranean Restaurant offers additional choices. There is a Spike Bar for golfers, a Clubhouse Bar and Cocktail Bar with live music.
The hotel has its own Beach Club at the nearby Alvor Beach (10 minutes on regular bus shuttle service) offering a range of water sport facilities, Beach Bar, sun parasols and loungers exclusive to guests. The childrens Penguin Village provides entertainment for 0-12yr. olds supervised by qualified staff. In the summer months the Junior Academy operates an activity programme for 8-15 yr. olds.
