Madinat Jumeirah, meaning 'City of Jumeirah' is named because of the sheer variety of the resort. The concept is one of 'old Arabia' in a totally luxurious context. The resort encompasses two grand boutique hotels Mina A'Salam and Al Qasr as well as the courtyard summer houses of Dar Al Masyaf

The Dar Al Masyaf summer houses are unique in their Arabian design and are situated closer to the beach. Each individual guest room is bursting with traditional style and grandeur and guests may choose to take just one room or the entire house. Each house is cleverly nestled between the waterways, paths and gardens of the resort and there is a choice of either Arabian or Gulf house the latter category having prime beach access ideal for an intimate hideaway.

Facilities within the resort are reached by taking an 'abra' along the waterways or by walking along the many paths. The Madinat ‘Souk’ (meaning market) offers an amazing array of 75 shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, a night club, outdoor amphitheatre, indoor theatre all in a bazaar-like atmosphere.
