Choupana Hills Resort

The Choupana Hills Resort hotel is mainly built in wood and comprises of a main reception block housing the restaurant, lounge bar and a selection of independent ‘bungalow’ style rooms stepped into the hillside.

The very spacious guest accommodation in the Choupana Hills resort offers a variety of deluxe rooms and suites with either ‘garden’ or ‘bay’ views. Some of the deluxe rooms are interconnecting providing ideal family accommodation. Each has a good sized wooden decked balcony ideal for pre-dinner cocktails and enjoying the sunset.

The main building leads out onto a large ‘lagoon’ style pool with magnificent sun terraces enabling guests to enjoy a high degree of privacy. The Xonapa Restaurant offers an interesting fusion of Oriental and European cuisine and the Basalt Bar serves drinks and less formal snacks throughout the day. This delightful hotel offers an interesting alternative to the traditional Madeiran style and has become one of the best kept secrets on the island of Madeira.
