The Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa is undeniably one of the most unforgettable places on earth. The Reserve has successfully re-introduced the Arabian Oryx, extinct in the world until a few years ago.

The resort is designed to reflect a traditional Bedouin encampment (all be it with a few added luxuries) with a privileged glimpse into the heritage and romance of Arabia. On offer here is falconry, horse-riding at day break, camel treks at sun down, archery and 4x4 dune safaris.

The accommodation is in luxury tented suites with 3 staff assigned to each suite. Run like a safari lodge there are morning and evening excursions by foot, horse or camel to try and catch a glimpse of the rare Arabian Oryx and Gazelles. The resort is a rare sanctuary of beauty and tranquillity, where you find yourself at one with nature and the desert.
